Welcome to Dovetale Films

Hi, I'm Damian!

I’m a wedding filmmaker and woodworker currently living in downtown Oklahoma City. My goal is to craft a film that authentically portrays your love story as a couple.

I began Dovetale Films after my wife, Jessica, and my 2019 elopement in Colorado. After several years of building furniture, and a couple years recording those builds for YouTube, I decided I wanted to document our trip to the mountains so my family could be a part of our new adventure. After many weeks of learning and editing, I shared the video with my wife, and with the encouragement from her, my family, and an amazing photographer friend, I tagged along for my first wedding. I absolutely loved it, and the rest is history.

I’m glad you’re here! Take a look around, read a little bit more about me, and get in touch so we can start talking about your amazing love story!

DOVETAIL:

A woodworking joinery technique in which a series of 'pins' are cut to extend from the end of one board to interlock with a series of 'tails' cut into the end of another board.

Dovetail joints are incredibly strong and are noted for their resilience and resistance to being pulled apart.

Every laugh, smile, hug, and tear holds significance, and I want to document them in a real and unfiltered way. These moments are the fabric of life, and by capturing them authentically, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere and feel the emotions of that day in a way that photos alone may not be able to convey

Authentic Emotion

A Timeless Keepsake

Your wedding film is not just a fleeting glimpse of your special day; it's a timeless keepsake that allows you to look back on those cherished moments for years to come. It captures the true-to-life colors, sounds, and emotions exactly as they happened, preserving the authenticity and beauty of you and your story.

The Journey

Your film is more than just a documentation of the day, but a true reflection of your journey and the significance of the day. It encapsulates not only the events that unfolded but also the emotions and memories associated with them. The film becomes a cherished representation of your unique story, carefully edited to evoke the same feelings and transport you back to that special day whenever you watch it.

Let us tell your story!

Kind words from real couples
Why Dovetale Films?
  • I honestly believe that, aside from you and the one you love, video is the most important keepsake to take away from your wedding. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime event, and having a video allows you to relive those special moments again and again, preserving the laughter, tears, and the energy that you can only feel through film. You can immerse yourself in the atmosphere and feel the emotions of that day in a way that photos alone may not be able to convey.

Your wedding day can be a whirlwind, and with so much happening, it's easy to miss certain moments or forget certain details. Having a video allows you to rediscover those missed moments and see things from a different perspective. You might notice subtle interactions, reactions, or expressions that you didn't catch during the hectic day itself.

  • I’m not ashamed to admit that I cry a few times when editing each and every wedding I’ve had the honor to be a part of. It’s not just another video to me — it’s a connection, it’s an emotion. I think that’s means I’m capturing the important moments you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

My goal is to not only deliver an incredible film documenting your unforgettable day, but to be the best and most helpful vendor at your wedding. Your experience is everything.

  • Hell yeah we are! We are proud to be a part of the Oklahoma Rainbow Collective and are firm believers that every person deserves a perfect wedding day, no matter who you love.

  • Yup!

As a woodworker, the dovetail joint is one of my favorite joinery techniques because of its overwhelming strength and beauty. I thought that was a really cool way to bring two of my passions together in name. Dovetale is a joint between my love for woodworking and passion for telling stories.
